Exams
For the semester exams, I think that I did pretty well. In most of my classes I got A's or B's. I don't think that we should have mandatory exams because I believe that teachers try to cram too much material into one test, and expect their students too remember all the materials they learned. It's impossible to do for all seven of my classes. All it does it create stress. High school exams are not good practice for college, considering college is completely different from high school. In college, you know the material that you are studying all along due to the syllabus. All of my exams were comprehensive for the most part, except for government, which was the hardest. I studied the most for Chemistry and my major classes. I'd say I spent about 12 hours studying altogether.

Exams
The semester ends in two weeks. This year it's required that all students take mandatory exams. I really don't want to because it's a waste of time. Reviewing the same materials over and over again really doesn't do anything. Not really going to help you in the class. Most of the time students forget half of the things they learn anyways. It just causes a bunch of unnecesary stress.

Christmas Break
This Christmas break was by far the best Christmas I've ever had. This year, I got all of the presents I asked for (mostly because I picked them out), and got to spend time with all of the people I wanted to be around. On Friday, Han, Aleta, Lauren, Bailey, and I went to Starbucks. The place was packed for it only being 2. We talked and watched Aleta steal some little boy's hot chocolate. Then we went to Wally World and walked around randomly trying to find stuff to do. After that, Bailey and I went to Coldstone, and had the best ice cream ever. Other than that, I mostly stayed at home or hung out with people. I stayed up until almost 4 every day and woke up at 1. That's why I don't like school, is because I don't like getting up so early. That's pretty much it.

Christmas
This year, like every year, I'm going to Grandma's house for Christmas. My brother and sister wake our entire family up at 7 just to open presents. This year, I'm making breakfast for my entire family. Then at 1, I have to go to Deerfield to my Grandma Spiegel's house to eat lunch and open presents with my dad's side of the family. It takes five hours because there's so many of us. Hopefully my grandma will make Snickerdoodles, which are my favorite. They're my favorite because I've helped her make them since I was little; and they're always soft and sugary.

I Wouldn't Want to Be Anybody Else
If I could be any musician, I would be Ke-dollar sign-ha. (Kesha). That way, I could have no talent, and yet still be famous for it. I could look like I'm intoxicated in everyone of my videos, and auto tuned in every one of my songs. I could buy pounds of glitter and wear it on my face. This is obviously sarcastic, but I really do actually like Ke$sha's music. I just don't like the way she represents herself.

U.S.S. Arizona Memorial
Out of all of the national landmarks in the United States, I would visit be the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. I would have loved to honor the men who gave their lives for our country on December 7th, which was the 70 year anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, "the day that will live in infamy." On that horrendous day, 1,177 men unexpectedly lost their lives on the ship. While America was suffering a catastrophic blow, Pearl Harbor was just the beginning. It was a wake up call for America to get involved in World War II. The U.S.S. Arizona specifically intrigues me because there's so much history behind it; it was previously involved in World War I and parts of the ship couldn't be retrieved after it was destroyed. Another reason to visit the memorial is because Hawaii is a gorgeous place; a place I've always dreamed of visiting. Nonetheless, the memorial is by far one of the most popular WWII tourist sites.

As you can see from this aerial view of the memorial, the ship is still submerged in water. |
