Imagination Station

On Friday, my Exploring Technology class left school to go to Imagination Station.  It was so fun, and it was a Friday, so that made it even better.  I felt like such a little kid the entire time.  I feel as though they try to make the learning experience from a 5-year-old's point of view.  Don't get me wrong, however, there were TONS of little kids all around.  Seriously, everywhere you looked, you'd see another one.  For about an hour, we attended the Bodies Revealed exhibit.  It was so interesting, and yet completely disgusting at the same time.  I couldn't believe all of the muscles, organs, arteries, veins, and bones that were actually inside of our bodies.  It feels so surreal.  The part I found the most repulsive was the full Asian bodies that were put on display.  Everything was dried and shriveled.  I started to get queasy looking at them.  The best part of the entire day was right after that, when Sydney, Molly, Hannah, Kendal, and quite a few others went into the broadcasting room and just stared at the camera and took pictures.  After that, we went in the Gravity Room and I felt like I wouldn't ever walk normal again. However, It got really boring after awhile though and we ran out of things to do by the end. Overall, it was a pretty successful trip and I'd gladly do it again. :)

Surprise!

I woke up to the sound of wrapping paper wrinkling.  I remember not being very excited about Christmas my sophomore year.  I wasn't very excited to open presents at 5:30 in the morning.  I got through all of my presents and I'm not going to lie, I was kind of disappointed.  Basically, I'd only opened clothes and a digital camera to replace the broken one I already had.  My parents surprised me by bringing out a huge box labeled "To Steph and Lauren" in big red letters.  We tore open the wrapping paper and the tons of boxes, and finally got to see our new present.  It was a brand new laptop. I screamed because I was so happy to actually have something to call my own.  The computer we had at the time was super outdated.  It was the best present I'd ever received because it was probably the most expensive.  It was the first time I actually felt like I had privacy.  I didn't even ask for a laptop, and it ended up being the perfect present for me. :)

Weekend

Last Friday was the best.  Friday started out pretty good, I got an Ice Cap from T-Ho's (Tim Horton's), slept in, and didn't have any homework.  At volleyball practice, things didn't go so well.  I didn't practice very good; I wasn't focused and didn't feel good.  Half way into practice, Gena ran into me and tripped over my foot.  I felt terrible because she rolled her ankle.  Toward the end of practice, on the second to last play, I got hit in the face with a ball.  It made my vision blurry and I couldn't breathe.  After practice, I went to our football game at Madison.  It was an amazing game; we won 57-7.  What made it even better was that it was Madison's homecoming. We destroyed :) After I went home, I just watched movies until midnight.  Then my brother and I went on a late night Taco Bell run at one in the morning.  It was delicious. A cop followed us all around town. It was a great beginning to my weekend :)

Complaint of the day!

Get this. So I'm supposed to be working on my "Do It Green" wiki. But instead I'm blogging because my computer looks like it's having a seizure.  I can't type anything without all the words shaking. It was making me dizzy.  It's annoying when you're trying to type and your words are moving back and forth. Syndey agrees!

Actual Complaint of the Day:
People who feel the need to lie constantly.  Like honestly, why can't you just try telling the truth for once in your life!?

Homecoming Week :)

During the last week, Sand Creek celebrated our football homecoming.  On Monday, almost all high school students showed up to school looking like we just woke up.  It was Pajama Day.  Personally, I think it was just an excuse for everybody to dress up like a bunch of bums.  Tuesday, it was Duct Tape day.  There were many shiny, colorful outfits that could be seen around; some were a little more extreme than others.   Wednesday was Decades Day, a day that I didn't participate in.  I'd rather not spend my day dressing up like people from the past.  On Thursday, it was Awareness day.  Everybody who participated supported a cause, like breast cancer,  leukemia, and domestic violence.  Friday, of course, was Green and White day.  I repped my school colors. :)
The Aggies did it again.  We won against Morenci 14-7.  It was a good game, but sitting in the stands was terrible.  It was freezing, rainy, and windy.
For Powderpuff, let me just say, the Junior Girls destroyed the Senior girls.  The Juniors scored 3 'touchdowns' all together, while the Seniors only had 1.  We played well, and had fun doing it; even though it was freezing and rainy.  It was hard not to slide everywhere on the field.  Overall, I'd say Homecoming week was a huge success.
